Hi my name is Maggie McAuley and I am the founder of Sew Fun 4 kids located in the heart of Cairns, Tropical North Queensland. As a textile artist, fashion designer and teacher for over 30 years, I have always had a creative passion for fashion, craft and textile arts. Some of my creative designs have been featured in Australian Creative Beading Magazine and I have also donated creative textile art pieces to be auctioned for charity fundraisers.
Sew Fun 4 Kids is an enjoyable and fun learn to sew and craft/textile art program specifically designed for kids of all ages including adults.
The aim is to introduce and develop the basic skills in sewing technique, fashion design, fabric identification, cost effectiveness, pattern making and time management skills.
The result will be fashionable, wearable clothing.
Children like to show individuality in the way they dress and present themselves, for most children, fashion expresses their personality. Kids will have the use of sewing machines and equipment and get to create some great fashion items they can actually wear!
Introducing children at a young age to fashion design and learning how to sew, opens up a whole new world of creative opportunity. Their imagination is unlimited!
Children are excited by the endless possibilities of increasing their wardrobe and actually wearing what they have made.
